Private and on-premise AI in Charlotte, North Carolina
Private and on-premise AI for Charlotte businesses. Your data never leaves the building.
Charlotte at a glance
A banking town that runs on small business.
Charlotte is the second-largest banking center in the United States, behind only New York, and home to the headquarters of Bank of America and Truist, with Wells Fargo running major East Coast operations here. But the day-to-day economy runs on the firms around those towers: the suppliers, trades, logistics companies, and service businesses that keep the city moving. Mecklenburg County employment grew 6.8% in a single recent year, and growth like that strains follow-up, quoting, and scheduling first. That strain is where we come in.

Where we work in Charlotte
Across the city and the metro.
We're based in Western North Carolina and our founder is building out of Charlotte, so this is home turf, not a market we're testing. Uptown's professional firms around the towers; South End's growing shops and restaurants; NoDa's owner-run businesses; Ballantyne's corporate offices and practices; University City around UNC Charlotte. The metro too: Huntersville and Cornelius, Concord's distribution parks, Gastonia, Matthews, Pineville, and Rock Hill just over the line in South Carolina.

Examples
Who needs this first in Charlotte.
These aren't a limit. They're the businesses whose rules rule out public AI tools.
Finance and the firms around it
Wealth, insurance, and mortgage firms handle data their clients and regulators expect to stay put. On-premise AI gives their teams drafting, summarizing, and search help without the data leaving the building.
Health care (non-clinical)
Practices in Ballantyne and around the hospital systems handle patient information under strict rules. Scheduling and back-office help runs on your own hardware, so patient data never touches a public AI tool.
Professional services
Law firms whose client files can't sit in a consumer AI account. Your documents stay in-house, and your team still gets answers from them in seconds, with the source attached.
Logistics and distribution
Firms whose contracts restrict where operational data can live. The systems run inside your walls, and the audit trail shows who accessed what, and when.
How it works
Start. Build. Stay.
Start
Every engagement starts with a diagnostic. We map what data you handle, what your rules and contracts say about where it can go, and where AI help would pay off first, and put a dollar figure on it. The Krastor Blueprint is the written plan that comes out of it: fixed fee, starting at $1,500, and yours to keep whether you hire us or not.
Build
We spec and install the hardware in your building, set up the models and your company knowledge on it, and test it against your real work before your team depends on it. Your data doesn't leave the building at any step.
Stay
We stay on to keep it running and keep it improving, and we report what it earned you in dollars. You own the tools, the data, and the code. If you ever stop, all of it stays with you. What you lose is us keeping it running.
Rules to know
AI and data rules in North Carolina.
As of September 2026, North Carolina has not passed a broad AI law or consumer-privacy law that applies to private businesses. Federal rules and your industry's rules still apply.
If you handle health, financial, or children's data, keep it out of public AI tools unless your vendor contract covers it. Private, on-site AI is an option when it can't leave the building.
This is a plain-English summary, not legal advice.
Questions
Straight answers.
Do you have an office in Charlotte?
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Krastor is based in Western North Carolina. Our founder is building out of Charlotte, and we work with Charlotte businesses remotely and on site. You get the same team either way.
Is on-premise AI as capable as the big cloud tools?
For the work most businesses hand it, yes: drafting, summarizing, answering from your company knowledge, and reporting. The honest trade is that the very largest cloud models are stronger at some open-ended tasks. We will tell you plainly which of your jobs fit on-site and which don't.
What hardware does it take?
Less than most people expect. One capable machine in your building runs the setup for a business your size, and we spec it during the diagnostic from your real workload, so you don't buy capacity you'll never use.
What size business do you work with?
Businesses with roughly 10 to 250 employees. Big enough to have real repeat work worth automating, small enough that the owner or an ops lead can make the call.
How do we start?
With a free 30-minute diagnostic. We map how the work gets done, find what's costing you the most, and send a written assessment whether you hire us or not. Book it here: https://cal.com/krastor/intro
